PB4L Pride Values

In Aroha 4 we have been looking at our behaviour and how do we as members of Rowandale School show our PB4L pride values. We think, paired, shared and here is what we came up with:

FMS this week was a great way to end our Tuesday. Weather has been terrible and we were stuck inside for play time so at FMS we let loose and had a great time learning new skills. We learnt how to play sharks and minnows! We all got caught!

Working Hard- Week 8

Kia Ora Family and Friends!

This week we have been working with our hands in maths- measuring. We measured our little finger and thumb using rulers. Aroha 4 enjoyed tracing their hands and using pastels to blend in colours and make their hands look pretty filled with shapes and lines.

Here are our lovely measured hands and newly published writing up in our classroom. Please stop by and check them out! We worked very hard and are so proud to share our work with you.

Congratulations Kiran and Nicole for receiving awards in Syndicate Assembly!

We have had a blast this week and are looking forward to the weekend as you can tell by our cheeky smiles. Keep warm this weekend everyone!!

Time is flying! Week 6

Aroha 4 started off their week sleeping in and boy was it great having Monday off! However it was even better to come back on Tuesday well rested and ready to learn.

This week is short but jam packed week. We finished off our coconut tree to end Samoan Language Week. We are so proud of our hands all coming together.

In Topic we are looking at Underwater Life. With the help of our lovely buddy class we created a cool underwater display. Everyone in the class coloured in a fish and added it to the background display. Do you like?

This week in maths we looked at measuring using a ruler it was so much fun and we are getting much better at using a ruler. In letters and sounds we were playing beats using a drum and we looked at what sounds we can make with our body. We used our feet-stomping, hands- clapping, fingers- clicking. It is so amazing the beats that can be made from our body.

A big congratulations to Solomona and Ivana for receiving certificates in syndicate assembly this week. You guys rock!!

Week 7

We were lucky enough to get in a chance to swim! It was so much fun. We practised hopping in the pool and holding on to the bar. We also go...
