We are back in business!

Welcome Back, 

We were so lucky to have What Now come to Manurewa great way to end the holidays. Awesome turn out was great to see Aroha 4 faces there- Jerry, Leslie, Niah, Shania, Sikini, Kyra! Great work also to those who watched from their couches!

This week we met with our Buddy Class to begin our special inquiry. We researched together questions which our buddy class made. This was exciting using their chromebooks to research. Thanks Whakapona 19!

We also got a chance to go outside and enjoy the weather. Here we are learning ball skills. Throwing and passing to each other. We are getting better and we keep our eyes on the ball. 

 

In Reading and Writing we have been looking at reenacting characters. It is so much fun pretending to be characters and physically doing what they do in the book. We are also getting much better at saying our alphabet in and out of order.

Schools Out!

Our last week was full on with Parent Teacher Conferences, Syndicate Assembly and Duffy Assembly.

A huge thank you to all parents that attended parent teacher conferences it was great to share what the children have been learning and what can be done at home to help their learning.

In math we are learning how to do subtraction. We have been learning to sing 'Five little speckled frogs'. Here we are counting the frogs after a frog has jumped into a pond (subtraction). We also performed this song in our syndicate assembly.

Last day dress up day!

To end Duffy Government Book Week, we dressed up! Good work to those students who participated and dressed up. You all looked great. Our class theme was The Cat in the Hat. Thank you to Miss Henry for making us all hats and bows. We appreciate you!!
